Reba Plummer

Director, representing the Canadian Worker Co-op Federation

Reba Plummer is a co-op champion and a bicycle enthusiast who lives in Toronto.

Reba is an advocate of the co-operative business model. Over the past two decades as Co-Executive Director at Urbane Cyclist Worker Co-op, Reba has worked hard to create good governance practises in her own co-op. Working at a worker co-op completely immerses one in the complex yet rewarding life of a co-op.

As an engaged member of the CWCF, she was elected to the Board in 2010 and since 2016 she has been President. Reba participates on several committees including Event Planning and HR. She helped to lead the Federation though the creation of a forward-thinking, ambitious Strategic Plan in 2018.

Reba was delegate to The Co-operators from 2011 to 2018. In 2018 she joined the Board and has served her three-year term as part of the Sustainability and Citizenship Committee.

Reba worked as the GTA Co-op Network Regional Manager from 2016 to 2018. She helped developing co-operatives connect with resources, spread the word about the co-op model, and helped to build relationships among existing co-ops.

Reba received her Certificate in Co-operative Management in 2010 through the Schulich School of Business and completed the Introduction to Co-op Development through CoopZone in 2016. Reba is an enthusiastic lifelong learner and continues with her education whenever possible.

When you can’t find Reba at Urbane Cyclist or at a co-op event it’s guaranteed that she is out riding her bike!
