Young Directors' Bursary

The Directors' Forum established the Young Credit Union Directors' Bursary to assist Board Directors under 40 with their professional development and governance training.

By attending the conference, young Directors will have opportunities to network and engage with credit union/caisses populaires leaders and directors from across Ontario and develop potential mentorship opportunities.

The Young Directors' Bursary covers the cost of the conference registration. All conference sessions, meals served during the conference and activities are included. It does not cover the cost of transportation to and from the conference venue, accommodations, or the evening meals (which are not part of the conference).

This year, there are three bursaries available. Applicants will be considered in order of applications received, and must fulfil the following criteria in order to be considered:

  • Aged 39 and under at time of application and during the 2020 conference
  • A current board member of an Ontario credit union or caisse populaire
  • Demonstrate a commitment to both personal development and that of their credit union or caisse populaire
  • Not have previously received a bursary from the DF in the past
