The Directors' Forum staff report to the Board of Directors and manage the Directors' Forum through independent contracts:

  • Audrey Aczel works closely with the Board throughout the year to develop and execute the Annual conference and virtual governance sessions. She has many years of project management and event planning experience, and brings her passion for organizing conferences, receptions, banquets and fundraisers to her role as the Directors' Forum Manager. She has been employed in the co-operative sector since 2007 with the Ontario Co-operative Association. Contact Audrey at [email protected]
  • Jennifer Ross manages the registration process and payments for the annual conference and virtual governance sessions, and provides on-site support during the in-person conference. She has many years of experience working within the Ontario co-operative and non-profit sectors, and contributes her keen attention to detail to help make the annual conference a success. She has been employed in the co-operative sector since 2009 with the Ontario Co-operative Association. Contact Jennifer at [email protected].
  • Kerr Smith provides graphic design services for the DF. He has been employed in the co-operative sector since 2010 with the Ontario Co-operative Association and Gay Lea Foods Co-operative.


The Ontario Co-operative Association (OCA) through contract with the DF, provides the organization with a variety of support services including:

  • Participating in meetings of the DF Board and preparing the Minutes
  • Supporting the financial administration of the DF
  • Participating in the research and development of topics and sourcing guest speakers for the conference as required
  • Preparing the materials for the DF's Annual General Meeting
  • Hosting and maintaining the DF website
  • Raising awareness for and promoting the benefits of director participation in the annual conference through various communication media (i.e., developing and distributing the "DF Advisor" newsletter, as well as the DF Facebook and Twitter feeds and pages)

OCA is a separate entity from the DF, and does not benefit in any way from any of the sponsorship raised by or for the Directors' Forum.
