Long Term Service Awards

One of the long-standing traditions of the DF is to recognize Directors who have demonstrated their commitment to the credit union movement, through many years of volunteer service to one or more Ontario credit union and/or caisse populaire. As such, the Long Term Service Awards (LTSA) were created many years ago as a way to pay tribute to such individuals at the annual conference.

In order to be eligible for the award, individuals must:

  • Be a current credit union board or caisse populaire member (i.e., not retired or deceased)
  • Not have previously received a Long Term Service Award from the DF
  • Have demonstrated their commitment to the system through a minimum of nine years of volunteer service to one or more Ontario credit unions or caisse populaire
  • Be a registered (i.e., paying) registrant at the DF conference and present at the award ceremony

NOTE RE. 2020 LONG-TERM SERVICE AWARDS...

Due to the move to a virtual AGM in 2020, we will not be hosting the LTSA this year. However, we would like to award a plaque to those directors who meet the above criteria and who are retiring from the board, prior to our next conference in October 2021. Your name will be included in the AGM PowerPoint, and a plaque mailed to you.

TO RECEIVE AN AWARD THIS YEAR, SEND AN EMAIL TO [email protected] AND CONFIRM THAT YOU ARE ELIGIBLE, BASED ON THE ABOVE CRITERIA AND CONFIRM THAT YOU ARE RETIRING BEFORE THE NEXT DF AGM IN OCTOBER 2021. PLEASE INCLUDE A SHORT BIOGRAPHY AND PHOTO, WHICH WE WILL INCLUDE IN THE 2020 AGM PACKAGE.
