Credit Union Director Achievement

The Credit Union Director Achievement (CUDA®) Program delivers the most current thinking about credit union corporate governance. Designed for credit union directors, this program is a road map to the knowledge and skills required to effectively govern co-operative financial businesses. The program is developed and hosted by Cusource® - the Professional Development and Education arm of the Canadian Credit Union Association, and has been nationally recognized since 1988.

Throughout the year, webinar sessions and intensive classroom CUDA® courses are offered over a series of days in regions across Canada. These sessions are open to all directors and provide the value of networking opportunities between training.

Each year, Cusource hosts a series of fall courses for directors in the two days leading up to the Forum. This year's courses were held on October 10 and 11, 2018 at the Courtyard by Marriott, Downtown Toronto and include:

  • Foundations of Governance in Theory and Action
  • The DNA of a Top-Performing Credit Union Director
  • The Role of the Audit Committee
  • Governing Credit Risk
  • The Art & Science of Chairing

Cusource also partners with the Directors' Forum each year to develop and execute a session during the annual conference, specifically for its delegates. This year's session, "Culture...A Game Changer?" took place on Saturday, October 13. This was a 3.5 hour session (valued at $359 and was included in the DF registration fee). All delegates who registered has to sign in during the course to receive a half-day CE credit under CUDA.
